It's a pusher. The wide, shallow poly blade is designed to push snow ahead of you rather than scoop and throw it. For light-to-moderate snowfalls and long runs of sidewalk or driveway, a pusher is faster and far easier on your back.

Will it scratch my pavers or deck?
