Why the Sentry™ 195 Max Is the Snow Fence Pros Reach For
When blowing snow closes a driveway, buries a parking lot or hides a ditch, you need a snow fence that holds its shape under load. The Sentry™ 195 Max is our top-of-the-line heavy-duty plastic snow fence: a 48-inch-tall, 100-foot-long roll of high-tensile mesh built for snow removal contractors, municipalities, property managers, ski areas and homeowners who want to install it once and forget about it until spring.
Unlike cheap safety fence that stretches, sags and snaps in a January wind, 195 Max mesh is extruded from 100% full virgin resin with UV and chemical stabilizers, so it stays rigid in sub-zero cold and doesn’t chalk or crack after a summer in storage. The 1.8" × 1.8" oval mesh gives you the ideal balance of porosity and strength: wind passes through, slows down, and drops its snow on the downwind side in a predictable drift instead of across your pavement.

Where Contractors & Homeowners Use It
Snow Fence FAQ
How does plastic snow fence actually stop drifts?
Snow fence doesn’t block wind — it slows it. As wind passes through the mesh it loses speed and drops the snow it’s carrying on the downwind side, building a controlled drift there instead of across your driveway, lot or road.
How far from my driveway should I put the fence?
A good rule of thumb is about 35 times the fence height upwind — roughly 140 ft for a 4 ft fence. On tighter lots, get as far upwind as your property allows; even a shorter setback dramatically reduces drifting.
What’s the difference between the 195 Max and the other Sentry™ rolls?
All Sentry™ fence is 4 ft × 100 ft, UV-resistant Armortech™ mesh. The 195 Max is our heaviest-duty, highest-tensile roll — the one to choose for open, high-wind sites, municipal and commercial use, or when you want the longest multi-season life.
Can I use it as a construction or safety fence in summer?
Yes. The same high-visibility orange mesh is a standard job site safety barrier, crowd-control fence and perimeter marker year-round, and the UV stabilizers mean summer sun won’t degrade it.
How many posts do I need for a 100 ft roll?
Plan on 13–17 posts at 6–8 ft spacing (fewer in sheltered areas, more in open fields). Posts, ties and fasteners are sold separately.
How fast will it ship?
Sentry™ snow fence is stocked in the USA and ships the same or next business day. Need a pallet? Contact us for volume pricing and freight quotes.
