Should I Get The Driveway Markers Install Tool? Snow Stakes Installation Done Right

We field this question about 20 times a day during the busy season. Customers constantly ask, should we get the install tool? The answer issssss…… MAYBE. Anything that can help with the tedious process of installing driveway markers is obviously worth considering. On the other hand, adding processes to an already time consuming task may not be worth it. You be the judge.

Why should you order the snow stakes install tool? Watch the video, the tool creates a pilot hole that you can easily place the marker in. This alone probably makes the installation process significantly easier. But then, there’s the slide hammer application. On the other end of the install tool is a hollow end. This allows you to pound the snow stake into the ground with very little effort. Also, my favorite part about using the tool for installation is the markers actually go into the ground STRAIGHT. When I install the stakes without the tool, they’re usually a little sideways.

Snow stakes are expensive. adding valuable dollars to an already expensive and frustrating part of the snow removal business isn’t ideal, but the money spent could save you aggravation too. Also, adding the extra process can turn a 2 hour process into a 4 hour one really quick. It can take up to about 15 seconds more to install stakes using the install tool versus installing markers without the tool. Let’s say you have to install 2000 stakes, that is adding a potential 30,000 seconds to your process, I’m too lazy to convert that into hours.

Overall, if I had to install them, I’d spend the money on the tool. It’s really popular and we rarely get any negative feedback. Sometimes they break due to frozen ground, force etc, but for $40 bucks, you can’t beat it.
