One of the most important things when it comes to snow stakes is night time visibility. Honestly, it does not matter how “fluorescent” any snow stake company claims their driveway markers to be, the things don’t glow. That is the real downfall with wood stakes. There is absolutely no reflective or night time visibility quality to them. Who cares if wood stakes are only $.50? If you can’t see them during night time plowing, then what good are they?
So, when you are shopping for your snow stakes, really, one of the most important things to consider, if not THE most important thing, is how much reflective surface does your snow marker offer? Virtually all of the competition has 6″ reflective tape on their stakes, not us. We have 9″! We used to carry 6″, it’s not bad…. not that good either.
